A little more about me – I was born and raised in Timmins and pursued an undergraduate degree in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph in 2009 before being accepted to the Ontario Veterinary College in 2012. Four years of veterinary school came and went quickly! I was co-president of our class, volunteered for a birds of prey rehabilitation centre, and was actively involved in extracurricular activities at the College. My studies brought me to many corners of the world including the Global Vets initiative in Thailand and Laos, spay/neuter clinics in Costa Rica and Panama, as well as a veterinary externship in sunny Australia. Following vet school, I successfully completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship with the 404 Emergency and Referral Hospital in the GTA. I learned so much during this intensive year, and was then hired on as a full time Emergency Veterinarian with the 404. In 2019, my wife and I decided to return to our roots in Northern Ontario!

I have known Dr Carla and Dr Corinne for many years, and couldn’t of been happier to join the dynamic team in South Porcupine!

I have continued to grow professionally since this move with the practice. I strive to provide excellent veterinary care to all of my patients (furry, scaly and/or feathery!) as well as forming strong bonds with my clients ensuring they are comfortable and understand the treatment plan being put forth for their love one. Continuing education is incredibly important to me as I want to bring the best in care to my patients in the North. I proudly now co-own this practice with Dr. Corinne, and look forward to serving the animals in our community for many years to come! I am interested in so many aspects of this profession, however I am partial to small animal surgery and emergency medicine, as well as exotic animal medicine.

Personally, I am lucky to share my life with my beautiful wife Paige, and my two young daughters London and Isla. Zoey, my shelter rescue, has been in our lives since 2012 and has been so important to me throughout my early career – traveling with me since my student days all the way back to Timmins! I also care for Quazi, a Green Iguana, and Barb, a Savannah Monitor – all rescues from the local animal shelter. When I am not home with my family, I love being outdoors as much as possible, going to the gym and staying active, reading, travelling and spending time with friends.

I look forward to meeting you and your pets sometime soon!
